The Nevis Co-operative Credit Union (NCCU) Limited’s Scholarship Programme expanded to more than 60, on Monday (Oct. 12), when three recent primary school graduates – Dekijay Dore and Kianna Liburd of the Charlestown Secondary School and Jau-Seibo Hobson of the Gingerland Secondary School – became the newest recipients.
Approximately one month ago, the longest serving credit union in St. Kitts and Nevis launched a loan product, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and according to the institution’s General Manager, G. Sydney Newton, the response, so far, has been encouraging.
A collaborative effort among the Blackett’s family, the Nevis Co-operative Credit Union Limited (NCCU) and the Alexandra Hospital saw scores of resident Nevisians receiving free health screenings on International Credit Union Day (Oct. 18).
